Architecture occupies an outstanding place in the Shire’s Cultural Patrimony and in almost every town and village samples of such artistic expression are likely to be found, always conditioned by geografic, social and economic kind aspects. In every town and village of the Shire, is likely to find samples of such artistic manifestation. Traditional Asturian housing, court houses or architectonic style buildings with special qualities may be found spread all over this land of cider. Nevertheless, the religious architecture has an outstanding importance and has left its mark reflected in many monuments belonging to the main architectonic styles, being the preromanesque and reomaesque the most representative ones.
