"Riverside Route"- Nava P.R. AS 198

The beginning of the route is very next to the village of Piloñeta, a parking in the proximities of the Pra river will allow you to leave the vehicle, and after reading the indications of the itinerary in the head trail board, you will be able to begin this adventure through nature.

A few meters away from the path you will see the Prá mill; this construction used water power from the river that will be your indefatigable partner through forests and medows. Following a slight ascent and leaving the riverside for a while, we will drive you through a path under the shadow of characteristic Asturian vegetation as Maples, Hazel trees or Ash-trees.

In the same way throughout the run you will be able to identify the constructions of old water mills that even nowadays preserve certain elements like canalizations or cascades, constructions used by the neighbours of the near villages, and after years of abandonment and disuse they are but a memory. The perfectly signal route leads you to the Cipresta hill, very near from the village of Campanal.

Leaving the path and after taking a concrete road you will begin the descent that will drive you toward the town of Gradatila, where we advise you to rest for a few minutes minutes, and talk with some of the villagers who will probably tell you an anecdote of the area. Between farm lands and local roads you will arrive to the village of Piloñeta last populated place before returning to the point of origin of the route.
